Hello! My name is Kiersten and I am the owner and instructor behind Flux Movement. The body has always fascinated me. The connectivity of the muscles, bones, and fascia and the way they move together are my life's passion. Our body is the vehicle that carries us through this life so why not be as comfortable as we can be in it? Why not make the commitment to support our mind and body so that our soul can feel nourished?
Bodywork and massage have been my passion and career for the last 10 years. Working with thousands of clients over the last decade. I understand that each body tells a story and each body needs something different.
I believe that age, weight, and excuses should not be used as limitations. When a person chooses to engage in a healthy lifestyle, those perceived "limits" fade away.
In 2006, I graduated from Lotus Integrated Professions, formerly American Institute of Massage and Bodywork in Richmond VA. In July of 2012 I obtained my 200 RYT through Peak Beings Yoga in Puerto Viejo de Limon, Costa Rica. Since then I have continued my studies, taught over 1,000 classes and many private sessions.
In 2014 I became certified to teach TRX and also, In 2014 I began to obtain my Pilates certification. In 2015 I completed my Mat Comprehensive Pilates Certification with Balanced Body. In 2017 I completed the Balanced Body Tower module and Balanced Body Barre and continue to work towards my full Pilates certification, completing reformer 1 and 2, also with Balanced Body.
I am also a Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. I work with women who have had babies to help them recover their body's ability to safely return to exercise. I work with women who are struggling with diastasis recti, pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse. urinary incontinence, as well as postpartum postural issues.
